Ezekiel 36:27
And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you
to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
To me this is the crown jewel of christianity. The solution to all our
inabilities to obey God. It is the antidote, the panacea to a christian
life of manpower.
... Did you notice these words:
1. My
Spirit: that is the Holy Spirit, God's own Spirit.
2. Within you:
that is inside you
3. Cause : produce an effect, be the source,
foundation, reason, instigate, triger, initiate, make happen, bring
about etc
4. To walk in my statues: means (rules, laws)
5. Keep
my commandments
6. Do them
Wow! The scripture says what it
means and means what it says. God is now going to help man to do what he
has been struggling to do all this while.
He is going to be the
source, foundation, instigator, reason behind man's obedience, actions,
thoughts etc.
I dare say this Lord's day morning with all
certainity that stop TRYING and start TRUSTING God to do what he has
promised.
