YOU MUST HEAR WHAT GOD IS SAYING

Seeing and encountering The Lord for yourself is different from being told about Him. In the book of Job, when the patriarch was going through difficulties, he had his three friends: Eliphaz, Zophar and Bildad accuse him and giving him wrong information of God's righteousness.

In Job 42:5, Job talks about two different experiences. He first talks about what he has heard. Secondly, he talks about seeing The Lord. When Job saw God for himself he realised he wasn't justified. God's righteousness began to unfold before His eyes. He began to abhor himself. He began to regret careless utterances he had made.

Job 42:5-6
I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.
Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

Then in verse 7 after Job had repented and seen The Lord's righteousness, God summons his three friends and begins to rebuke them for giving false information of Him but you would realsie that God did not start with Job's friends. God was waiting for Job to brace himself up and seek Him.

Job 42:7
And it was so, that after the Lord had spoken these words unto Job, the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.

If we do not understand any mishap in our lives we should learn to get personal with God and ask questions and wait patiently on Him. If we don't seek God during such moments people will portray a different kind of God to us. God loves His children and He wants to reveal hidden things to them.

I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is is called Patmos, for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book

The Apostle John went to the island of Patmos in anticipation of the Word of God. He was expecting God. He had separated himself from all forms of distractions to seek God then The Lord spoke to Him. First, we must learn to separate ourselves from distractions or quiet our spirits if we want to hear from God. While awaiting His Word we should be in expectation. John went to Patmos for the word of God. Any man who goes to God without an expectation will come back empty. Someone would say but I have prayed a lot on this why am I not hearing God. It could be you never expected God to speak to you. God wants a dialogue and not a monologue. Search through the scriptures. You would realise that any man who walked closely with God had a dialogue with God. It wasn't God always speaking.

God instructed John to document this encounter. Many times while praying or about to pray I have heard The Lord say "get your book and write". Why does God want us to document our experiences?

We need to write so that we can make future references

We need to write so that we will not mince words when relaying it to other believers

We need to write so that we will be constantly reminded of our responsibilities God's promises and specific instructions.

We need to write so that we will know how well we are travelling whether we are growing spiritually or we are malnourished.

Beloved make it a habit to keep records of whatever God gives you through His word, dreams,visions, impressions of the heart, words from the mouth of others. From time to time go through the books and add to it as God gives you more insight. Meditate on these things and it will give you a bigger picture of what God wants you to do in the future. Years to come you will be glad you did.

Although, you may have weak faith, your weak faith should not be your excuse why you are not able to fully devote and be determined for God. Even if your faith is weak, confess to God in such a way, “God! I am determined and I have decided to live for Your will but I fail. I am so sorry. Please forgive me. I will get up again and try my best.”Then the Lord will answer you in such a way, “Alright. Try again.”Even if you have fallen ten times, only if you get up on the eleventh and try your best, God will be impressed.

OFFENCE FREE

Are you sure you are offence free?

Check how you react when your irritants speak or put up an action. Examine how you react anytime you hear stories about politicians. Do your presidents and ministers easily irritate you? Do the views of others easily irritate you on Facebook? Something is not right in your heart and you have to get rid of it. Any form of offence will keep one from entering heaven.

DON'T BE DISCOURAGED

You must not be discouraged. When you hear My voice you must live. Have you not read in the scriptures that I wasn't discouraged. When I speak to you in the midst of your storms you will live. Look unto Me. Wait upon Me. Wait for My voice in the midst of the trials. I will speak to you and you will live. I always heard My Father's voice in the midst of trials. I always waited to hear from My Father. The voice of My Father always strengthened Me. I say wait and hear My voice and you shall live.

John 5:25
Most assuredly I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live.

Isaiah 42:4
He will not fail nor be discouraged till He has established justice in the earth.

A LETTER TO SISTER ABIGAIL

Dear Sister Abigail,
please don't miss your David just because he is not wearing a crown today. See the oil on his head and you will not miss his moment of glory. The biblical Abigail saw David's oil not his toil. Had she considered his toil she would have missed the opportunity of becoming a future first lady. David's frequent battles and wanderings might have had an effect on his appearance yet Abigail saw the oil ahead of the toil. So dear Sister Abigail please if you can see the oil upon his head in his toil, you will rejoice tomorrow. If you are not willing to risk with him then you don't deserve to rise with him.

A LETTER TO BROTHER BOAZ

Dear Brother Boaz,
I'm writing to you to consider your misdemeanor towards Sister Ruth. The fact that she tries to get closer to you each day doesn't mean she is a cheap girl or a gold digger. The biblical Ruth was a Moabite widow. She might have lost her charm due to the sorrows she went through after the demise of her husband. She might have been naive or to an extent an illiterate in terms of Jewish culture but her perseverance, wisdom and submission got her name written in God's eternal books.

Dear Brother Boaz, she might be coming from a tribe least respected among your tribesmen but please like the biblical Boaz please see the treasure in her. God is sending her your way to remove the emotional scars through your warmth so that all will see her treasure within. Had Boaz missed Ruth probably his name might not have been mentioned in the genealogy of the Lord.

Sister Ruth has in her womb a treasure that many generations will celebrate. Sister Ruth has kings and warriors in her womb so dear brother Boaz be led by The Spirit and not your mind because the bible which you study and pray with day and night says "as many as are led by The Spirit of God are the sons of God" so please don't be speaking all the tongues and expect Ruth to come to you as one of the elites in society. Watch, pray and be sensitive.

DO NOT CURSE

Cursing is never the way to go for any minister of the gospel. Someone would say but Elisha cursed the youth. The same Elisha spared the Syrian army later in his ministry when he was matured and exposed to more light. Jesus never cursed or made death threats.

Expressing wrath has a way of contaminating ones spirit. Authority is given to build the kingdom of God and overthrow Satan's kingdom. When a minister resorts to cursing, he exposes himself to all kinds of wicked spirits. It doesn't matter who cursed Jesus never taught that unless someone can disprove what Jesus came to teach. "Bless those who spite you".

RENEW YOUR MIND

People live in misery and pity all their lives. "No one likes me, they are speaking behind me, they envy me, I'm the only committed one in church". Must everyone like you? Is it an election or a campaign? It is your mind and not the people. If God is your focus you won't go around looking for what people are saying or doing. Self pity will keep you in the dark.

LET THEM NOT FADE

In the wilderness, jot down your experiences. In the desert where there are strong winds and there is little or no water to find write down your experiences. In the palace of Saul where you don't know the direction the next spear will come write down your experiences. Don't let them fade.

David learnt to chronicle the events of his life. Today we read the psalms and we are blessed. The storms will not sink you. The beasts in the valley will not kill you. The desert will not burry you. They are all processes not challenges. The Lord is baking you in His oven. He is refining you in his pots. When you come out you will then know He is Jehovah Rohi your Shepherd.

He reveals Himself through the storms. It is too early to give up. Gird up yourself as a man for strong is the One who has called you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Jot down the experiences.

Like David, the 23rd Psalm of your life will impact posterity.

DID JESUS EXPERIENCE CLOSED HEAVENS?

Reference text: *As Jesus was praying the heavens opened*(Luke 3:21)

The Lord dropped this text upon my heart earlier this morning and I know it is for some one benefit.

This Event of open heaven occurred at his water Baptism and so for the Bible to say The heavens opened over Jesus when he prayed, Simply means that prior to his Baptism and *Prayer*the heavens were *closed*over his head because heaven don't open twice.
The big question is what tool did Jesus employ to Open Heaven? *Prayer*
Oh! No doubt Jesus was sinless and knew scriptures even at Age 12 but a life above sin and Bible knowledge are never tool for open heaven but *Prayer*

Even the disciples of Jesus, who knew scriptures and follow Jesus operated under *closed*heavens but as they *prayed radically*at upper room the Bible said *The heavens opened*(Acts 2:2-4)
Friends, Here is my point.
Could it be that the reason why your *heavens* are still closed despite Your Righteous life, knowledge of scriptures,Mental Financial and Social knowledge is due Lack of *Violent,tenacious, pungent,deterministic and fervent PRAYERS*

To Joke with *Prayer*is tantamount to trivializing your *destiny*and *purpose in life*
Are you experiencing Lack of victory over sin,lack of the FIRE OF HOLY GHOST, lack of Wisdom and understanding, spiritual husband or wife, spirit of shame and set back, demonic affliction in your family, Late marriage, Financial Hardship, etc sit back and accept defeat rise up and *Pray Like a Wounded Lion* for Prayer is the key that unlocks heaven's *TREASURES*

Friends, I understand that a times it is easier to pray with People than pray alone, why not you look for 2-4persons Who have burdens as well, fix a vigil or meeting and *Engage the heavenlies with the tool of aggressive prayers*and let see that Mountain that would survive open heaven.

Addendum: If God had to wait until Jesus *son of GOD*and *early church*had to pray before he could open heavens, we would be unwise to think God would be partial with Us.
I encourage People alot to read Books and listen to tapes to Acquire KNOWLEDGE of God and wisdom to live on earth but I tell them *No PRAYERS, NO DESTINY*
I recommend : Understanding purpose of men for Every potential of current husband. *LOVE YE ALL*

IN THE BELLY OF THE GREAT BEAST

Jonah 2:2
And he said: I cried out to the LORD because of my affliction, and He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried and You heard my voice.

If God doesn't get your attention through the raging storm like Jonah, he will use the beast in the sea as an alternative to take away the spiritual slumber from your eyes. When he throws you into the belly of the great beast, he strips you of all that you will need to survive yet in that deep darkness he becomes that invisible breath you will need to live a day more. His judgements are also His love. To those He loves He rebukes so that He can get them back on track.

There are many who are in the beast of the sea yet they have not discerned they have to pay their vows. Your vow is your solemn pledge to follow Him wholeheartedly all the days of your life. Any detour will bring you behind the bars. Ask The Lord which vows do I have to pay. After you are done with your vows He will release you from the depths to continue the journey. Discern His judgements. It is wisdom to know when His judgements are at work.

Jonah 2:9
But I will sacrifice to You with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD

THE BATTLE OF THE GIANTS

If you slew Goliath to reach the top know that it is the beginning of your battles not the mid or the end. Yes, the people are singing songs for that great feat. Yes, great men are chasing you all over to bring your expertise on board but remember you only killed Goliath but you have not wiped out his entire generation.

David's first public conquest was Goliath. His last public battle was a giant. Until you wipe out the generation of Goliath give no sleep to your eyes. Revise your battle strategies. Scientists say the higher you go the cooler it becomes but the books of spiritual laws say the higher you go, the hotter it becomes. Keep the tempo, increase it.

GOD IS YOUR REWARD

When Satan begins to whisper to you that you have helped many but they are ungrateful remember what God told Abraham in Genesis 15:1.

God is your shield and exceeding great reward. If God is your reward who can pay you. Don't be weary in doing good. Do good to people if you have the opportunity. God is your reward. Men give awards. God gives rewards. Rewards means to be re-awarded so whatever men were supposed to give you God multiplies it. (Reawarded).

Mankind has been plagued with 3 disease.

1. Identity crisis
2. Low self esteem
3. Insecurity

All these arise out of a lack of understanding the love nature of God, for love fills the void.

These problems are what drives people to clubs, drinking spots, bad company, drunkeness, etc.

In a nutshell, everyone is looking for love, the need to be cared for and understood.

Low self esteem arises out of the types of fathers we encountered when we were young.

a. The passive/ distant father.
-He rarely expresses his affection.

b. The Authoritarian Father.
-he gives you a long lists of dos and donts, and will interrupt you and say No to the things that are important to you.

c.The abusive father.
-they inflict pain on their children. Physical, emotional, and sometimes sexual abuse.

d. The absent father.
-he is totally absent. The father you never knew. Maybe as a result of he dying before you were born.

e. The accusing father.
-he proclaims to love you with his whole heart, but judges you continually for every failure.

Our identity, self esteem and security can only be found in God.

God is our father. We are his children. He is never too busy for us. Our father created the universe with its constellation of stars. Our father put the gold and other minerals in the earth for us.

The very hairs on our head have all been numbered by him. Our father keeps details. Our dad will not leave us nor forsake us.

He is not like the above fathers we have discussed so far.

1st John 3:1
Behold what manner of love the father has given to us, that we should be called the sons of God.

THE JOY SET BEFORE US

The bible makes us to understand in Hebrews 12 that Jesus endured the shame and pain of the cross because of the joy set before Him. Before an athlete completes a marathon, he has to gasp for air especially as he gets close to the finishing line. He may feel like fainting yet he endures to the end. He knows should he slack he would have run in vain.

If we are going to receive the crown God has promised us we have to overcome all the obstacles in this life. Thankfully God is with us to work in us the work of endurance. We are not alone.

Prayer: Father, work in me the work of endurance in order to finish the race that has been set before me.

DOUBLE FOR YOUR TROUBLE

Somebody, the only obstacle on your way to your recovery and your miracle is your unforgiveness and bitter feelings against the archers.

The bible says in Job 42:10 that The Lord turned away the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends;also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

One of the keys to your miracle is forgiveness. Release those who made your life bitter. Pray for them with all your heart and the Lord will give you double for your trouble.

SATAN IS NOT A GENTLEMAN

Under normal circumstance lions are supposed to be found in the wilderness. So the question is how come a lion pounced on Samson in the vineyards of Timnath?

Destiny movers and cycle breakers face unusual challenges and attacks. The enemy has tried so much to get some people in his domain but he failed. This time he chooses to change his strategy and location. If he doesn't get you in the wilderness, he will attack you in the vineyards. You know Satan is not a gentleman. Sometimes he comes uninvited. If he doesn't get you through the physical he will enter your dream.

When the lion arose against Samson, the bible says The Spirit of The Lord came mightly upon him. In Colossians 1, Paul prays for the church in Colosse to be filled with all might. In that regard it means there are levels in might. Pray to The Lord to fill you with all might under every circumstance. Don't say why me. The strength of God will arise in you.

Beloved, your frequent fierce battles is an indication that the devil has spotted something mighty in you. Don't be despaired. God will fight for you. If the enemy comes like a flood the Spirit of God will raise a standard against him.

Yea in all things, we are more than conquerors.

THE LAMENTATIONS OF A PASTOR.

Oh Lord my God, it's by your grace I live and move and have my being. Have mercy on our church as we grow. Raise up many laborers this year. Lord, Sanballat and Tobias have risen against your people. Help us to stay strong.

They have scattered the young, weak and feeble. They have discouraged the courageous. Lord, be our courage.

Rise up against Dathan, Abiram and Korah. Let them not have the final say. You alone are God.

The kiss of Judas has poisoned my cheek. Oh Judas, betrayeth your pastor when he needed you?

Absaloms sit at the gates of the church and turn the young away.

Demas came to receive help and later forsook us. Joab has stabbed us under the fifth rib.

The spirit of Loadecia has gripped the matured. Ishmeal, Hagar's son, has been sent away.

The Timothy and Joshua Generation are arising. Lord, let the sun stay in its orbit for them so they can accomplish much.

The gates of hell have opened. They shall not prevail oh Lord.

Raise up Jethros, Samuels, John the Baptists, Elijahs, Jehus, Pauls, Peters, James's. Let the brothers of Joseph realise their wrongs.
Bring back the one lost sheep. Preserve the 99 in the pen. Comfort your people oh God.

YOU LEAVE HIS PRESENCE YOU LOSE YOUR ESSENCE

Jonah 1:3
But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.

The bible records something interesting in the ship when there was a storm. Jonah, who was the eye and mouth of God was fast asleep. The question is couldn't he feel there was something wrong? When a man loses touch with God sometimes ordinary men have to remind him who he is. When you flee God's presence you lose your relevance.

The gentiles on board had to wake him up before he came to his senses. When a man begins to negotiate and deviate the will of God for his life he begins to lose his purpose in life and when you lose your purpose people who are not at your level will have to teach you wisdom.

The people then cast lots to know the cause of the storm. Jonah was humbled before the people. They had to throw him into the sea for calm to return. Why should the world see a Christian being judged by God? That is the highest form of humiliation.

RECONCILIATION

It must be noted; It is of great joy for sons and daughters who were once in the dark to return to the Father. When we return and reunite in His love He still clothes us in purple and gives our lives a meaning.

You might have messed up yesterday, return to The Father today. His love endures forever.

THE THINGS THAT AWAIT US

Acts 20:22-23
And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:
Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.

As I was praying this morning The Lord said to me " It is good you commit your day into My hands". So many tragedies happened to many Christians because they assumed the demands and misfortune of each day is the same. Jesus said of The Holy Spirit that He would reveal the things to come.

If we will commit our day into the hands of The Lord and pay attention to His voice we would escape every fatality.

God will sometimes speak audibly to us. Other times He will speak through strong impressions of the heart which keeps on resonating in our hearts. He also speaks through others. Like the men at Emmaus our hearts will burn with us. Whatever means He uses we will know. He doesn't leave His own in wonderland.

WEIGHTS

Certain things may not be sinful but God still calls us to leave them. The bible calls them weights. If we want to walk very close with God then we should be willing to shed off some of these weights. For some their weight is sports. For others theirs is movies. There are so many weights. What is holding you back from giving your all? The master wants to help you shed off this weight.

DON'T ABUSE GRACE

When a man is given to frowardness to the extent that God finds no place of repentance in his heart God leaves him to his own fate. In 1 Kings 22 when the heavenly counsel sat to deliberate on the life of Ahab, God in his mercy was looking for just one of His host to speak on Ahab's behalf but there was none. God had no option than to send him judgement. When a man sets his heart to do wickedness without any trace of repentance in his heart the only option God has is to hand such a person to Satan. It is very dangerous to continually live in disobedience.

INCLINE YOUR EAR TO WISDOM

Whatever you hear repeatedly you end up saying. It becomes your language. Incline your ears to the voice of wisdom, shun empty and useless conversations and see if your life will not turn around within a short time. Let your words impart grace to the hearts of men not blades. Some people's mouth are so sharp and offensive that you can use it to peel yam.

MATURITY

Basically there are 3 ways by which a soul matures. It works in the natural and spiritual as well.

Experience; One matures through the good and bad happenings of life. The storms and dew of life make us mature.

Association; Who you walk with can ripen you. Samuel spent his early life in Shiloh and the bible says all Israel knew that God had established him as a prophet. His association with Eli helped him mature.

Exposure; David at a young age was killing lions and bears so when Goliath was haranguing day and night it was not new to him. David had been exposed to some battles as a result he was matured to face the champion of the Philistines.

THE SUSPENSE IS OVER

The first chapter of many books keeps the reader in suspense but the second and subsequent chapters make the story clear. January to June might have kept your life in suspense. You didn't know what God was doing. This is chapter 2 of 2016. As I was praying this morning I heard The Lord whisper to me "Rest".

Beloved it is time to rest from your anxiety, fears,toil. The suspense is over. The action begins. Take your rest in The Lord.
