A FORM OF WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE

Genesis 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. A man can communicate, preach a message that may appear to stir up the listeners but may not be from The Spirit of God. The bible says Eve beheld the fruit and it was able to make one wise. We should remember right from the beginning God made us in such a way that anything that comes outside His divine plan for His creation will be considered an abomination. He created us to feed from Him and Him alone. We were created to feed from Him as we take His words to heart and act on it. The more man yielded to God, the more man lived a life of fulfillment. God never created us to seek anything outside Him. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil had in appearance a form of knowledge that will make man self sufficient. Man would have increased in knowledge alright as we see today. Man would have demonstrated a certain level of wisdom alright but that was not what God intended. God wanted everything from man to come from Him. Back to what I started. Today we may claim or tend to believe we are speaking mysteries of heaven. We may get pastors who are achieving results. We may see ministries in which thousands flock to every Sunday. The question is do all these pastors and ministries meet the heavenly requirements? There may be good Christian literature written by renowned preachers. There may be many people testifying of how their lives were changed. The question is were they written by the Spirit of God or was it knowledge taken from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? Remember in the above verse Eve thought to herself she would be more wise and self sufficient if she could partake of this fruit. Prior to that their focus had been on enjoying a harmonious relationship with God. Everything changed when Eve ceased to see God in the moment of decision making. We know the effects of their choice afterwards. Sin reigned through the human race. Anytime we begin to rely on our ability and past successes to make future decisions we are manifesting the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and because this tree had a form of wisdom which didn't proceed direct from God as Apostle James mentions in chapter 3 of his book our focus shifts from God to ourselves. It may interest us to know that one day when we stand before God,many of the things we boasted and cherished so much will be in heaven's thrash can. Jesus will tell us "I did not do that neither did My Spirit do it". I'm not in any way against mega ministries or best seller Christian literature. I want us to come to the place where we will discern what was birthed by the Spirit of God and what was tapped from the tree of the knowledge of God and evil. One time I was in a discourse with The Lord. He told me He will not bless anything that comes from the flesh. No wonder He said in the Scriptures the things we highly esteem are nothing before God. If it's not birth by His Spirit then it's not worth pursuing. This applies to every area of our lives not only on the pulpit. We may be doing good things. People may cheer us for a good job done. If it wasn't birthed by God's Spirit it has no eternal rewards. Often we tend to look at the material things and the people. We may thrill people with earthly wisdom but we should know we will suffer a loss when we appear before Him. When we begin to praise our work and disdain others for not pulling their weights we are manifesting the fruit of knowledge of good and evil. When ministries begin to think they have a certain grace which others don't have they have shifted their focus from Him to themselves. I once had a dream visit to heaven. I was shown the mansion of a brother in The Lord. I was not Impressed about what I saw because I knew he was a laborer of The Lord on earth. God does not see as we do. May we partner with His Spirit as we seek to do the works Jesus promised we will do. Glory To Jesus
