Exodus 18:14 And when Moses' father in law saw all that he did to the people, he said, What is this thing that thou doest to the people? why sittest thou thyself alone, and all the people stand by thee from morning unto even? 18:19 Hearken now unto my voice, I will give thee counsel, and God shall be with thee: Be thou for the people to God-ward, that thou mayest bring the causes unto God:
We may be very gifted in carrying out certain duties yet we still need help. It is wisdom to know what is within our reach and what is not.
Moses had been administering to God's people. It was evident it was wearing him down. Jethro had to come in to save Moses.
A man can be promising, have good prospects and still die before his time. If we fail to recognize our limits, we may be doing many good things for God but we will not be effective. It is wisdom to call for help when there is a need. Moses was very anointed but stress could have ended his ministry.
Know what you are and what you are not. Don't let ignorance burn you out. Jesus wants you to be healthy to continue His work. One time The Lord told me that many of His people are suffering from certain diseases because of ignorance.
